The Ramp Internship is designed to equip people as carriers of revival and awakening. It is not limited to those destined for “full-time” ministry, but is for anyone who longs to be a catalyst for a move of God. More than anything, the internship is an introduction into an awakening way of life. Daily Bible classes, prayer meetings, volunteering, and evangelism will immerse interns into the Ramp community, a community whose sole desire is to see the Third Great Awakening touch the world. Interns will leave the program on the forefront of what God is doing in the earth. They will leave the program with a burning heart to see God and to see others changed by God.

The primary goal of the Ramp Internship is not to supply generic information, but an impartation of revival and awakening.

The daily schedule of interns reflect this goal. Each day begins with corporate prayer from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. From 9:15-12:00 are Bible classes Monday through Thursday. In-depth syllabi are provided at the beginning of each semester. Courses teach interns how to lead a lifestyle modeled after scripture. They will study theological truths, how those truths alter an individual’s life, and how those truths pertain to the corporate assignment of carrying revival and awakening. Topics include Bible survey, the nature of God, prayer, a history of revival, and more. Each semester also includes courses about practical Kingdom living, such as spiritual authority, living in community, and leadership development. Scattered throughout the semester are seminars with guest speakers highlighting focused messages or topics.

Volunteering is a large part of the internship. Interns become the fuel of Ramp services and gatherings. From running cameras to parking cars to manning the bookstore, interns help host 1,000+ people to make each Ramp experience enjoyable and unforgettable. While most volunteering opportunities are during the weekends, interns also assist in the day-to-day affairs of the office. Should an intern have a special interest or skill, such as media production, he/she would be incorporated into the respective department.

Personal evangelism is also part of interning at the Ramp. Interns take what they are learning through classes and services and apply it in their daily lives by affecting people in the Hamilton community. While there are schedule outreach events, interns are expected to evangelize in their daily lives. This is one reason the internship schedule allows for part-time jobs. Interns are encouraged to not live in a Ramp bubble, but to get in the community and cause change. Personal evangelism is part of the very fabric of carrying revival.

Community is one of the primary ingredients that makes the Ramp what it is. Everyone connected in the Ramp community must learn to develop relationships with other believers in a book of Acts type lifestyle. While community exposes insecurities and faults, it is also very rewarding and provides lasting relationships. Interns can expect to be sharpened by constant fellowship with other burning ones.
