Karen WheatonFounder / Senior Leader
Karen Wheaton has been in ministry for over thirty years. She is the founder and senior leader of the Ramp. Karen founded the Ramp in 1998 when she moved back to her hometown in Hamilton, Alabama, and was gripped by God’s heart for a generation. The Ramp is a place where thousands gather each month to be transformed by the presence of God. Karen’s heart is to see a generation awakened, equipped and sent out to change the world. While thousands are changed through attending Ramp gatherings, hundreds of thousands more are changed through the live stream and Ramp TV. Through the Ramp television program, which is aired on over twenty networks, millions who have never heard the good news of the gospel are experiencing salvation and healing.
In 2008, she opened the Storehouse. The Storehouse is a local distribution center that feeds and clothes hundreds of people every week. While people’s natural needs are being taken care of, they also receive prayer and spiritual guidance. A few years later, in 2010, Karen started the Ramp School of Ministry. RSM is an equipping center devoted to giving students the tools they need to become everything they are called to be. Students are radically transformed through daily classes, weekly services, local outreaches and volunteer opportunities. Karen is pouring her life into the development and maturity of the next generation. She is constantly dreaming of the future and giving her life for the earth to be touched with a third great awakening.
